An Estate Group is a named collection of fields under one owner or operator. It gives estate managers a single dashboard for the entire operation without losing the field-level detail agronomists work from. Everything you see on the Estate dashboard is a rollup of field data. The aggregation rules are defined in the Aggregation Model and every number is drillable back to the fields that produced it.

What the dashboard shows

Coverage

Total hectares monitored, count of fields, crop mix by area, and the most recent satellite pass date across the estate.

Health distribution

Area-weighted health buckets (healthy / stressed / critical) as a percentage of total estate area. See the Aggregation Model for the exact calculation.

Alerts by severity

Active alerts across the estate grouped into Critical, High, Medium, Low, Info. Click any bucket to drill into the field-level feed.

Production forecast

Estate-wide yield projection with P10 to P90 confidence band. Central estimate is the area-weighted sum of per-field yield projections.

Team capacity

Scout tasks in flight per assignee, overdue count, and the next 7 days of scheduled work. Same data as Activity Log by-assignee view.

Verification status

Count of verifications issued this season, acceptance rate by agency (Subsidy / Takaful / NADMA), and any disputed bundles awaiting response.

Setting up an estate group

1

Create the group

Fields → GroupsNew group. Name it after the operating unit, not the legal entity (e.g., “Kedah North Estate”, not “XYZ Sdn Bhd”).
2

Add fields

Add fields by search, by drawing a bounding polygon on the map, or by uploading a CSV of field IDs. A field can belong to more than one group (e.g., a research plot inside a commercial estate).
3

Assign roles

Grant each teammate a role at the group level: Manager (full read/write), Agronomist (per-field read/write), Viewer (read-only rollups, no per-field drilldown). Roles inherit down to every field in the group.
4

Set the crop calendar

Estate-level default calendar (planting window, expected harvest). Individual fields can override. The calendar drives phenology bands in Activity Log and the yield projection window.
5

Configure verification presets

Estate defaults for Verification preset bundles (Subsidy / Takaful / NADMA), so any field-level operation exports with the right formatting without re-picking each time.

Common workflows

Open the Alerts card. Sort by severity. Every Critical or High row is a field that needs a decision today. Click through to the field, review the rule card driver, and assign a scout task from there.
Open the Team Capacity card. Any assignee with more than 5 overlapping bars in the next 7 days is flagged. Rebalance from Activity Log by-assignee view.
Export the estate dashboard as PDF. It includes coverage, health distribution, production forecast with confidence, verification acceptance rate, and top 5 hazards by area affected. Every number is reproducible via the Aggregation Model explain view.
Compare the final production forecast (issued 4 weeks before harvest) against actual harvest yield. Deviation is broken down by field so you can trace which rule cards under- or over-called. Feeds the farm_history layer in the Risk Model for next season.

What stays at field level

The Estate dashboard never merges field-level items that would lose meaning:
  • Rule card severity is not averaged. Instead you see “12 fields at HIGH blast risk”.
  • VRA prescriptions are not merged. Each field’s map is generated and applied independently.
  • Scout tasks are not summarized into estate-wide tasks. Every task is still tied to a field, an assignee, and (usually) a rule card.
See Aggregation Model - What rolls up cleanly, and what does not for the full list.

Data freshness

Estate rollups refresh daily at 06:00 local time. Each card shows Last updated (job run time) and Data through (newest field observation included). Cards with Data through more than one cycle behind expected render a Stale badge with the reason. Common reasons a card goes stale:
  • Persistent cloud cover on a share of the estate area
  • Fields with paused monitoring
  • A recent rule card version upgrade that is still propagating
